About Lauren

      I am a New York State Licensed Acupuncturist, proudly serving Staten Island since 2004. I had the pleasure of studying Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at the Swedish Institute School of Acupuncture in New York City, and graduated with a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture.  At the Swedish Institute, I had the opportunity to study both Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as Classical Acupuncture, which allows me to offer a variety of treatment options to my patients.

I am happy to help patients with all manner of health concerns, be it stress relief, digestive issues, or pain management. Over the years, my practice has evolved and I have been able to focus on Women’s health, specializing in Infertility & Pregnancy related issues.

     Women's wellness is a personal as well as professional commitment for me. My decision to study Acupuncture sprang from a family member who was having a hard time dealing with the myriad of symptoms stemming from Endometriosis.  After going through the suggested protocol of multiple laser surgeries and treatments, she was still suffering.  She then started seeing an Acupuncturist, and began to see improvements in her symptoms. Seeing the positive impact Acupuncture made to her health and overall quality of life really piqued my interest, and so I began my exploration of Chinese Medicine. 

Being able to help people was an important goal for me when deciding what type of career to embark on, and I am proud to say Acupuncture allows me to do this.

   In my practice, I try to offer a variety of ways to help my patients reach success with their health goals.  Acupuncture treatments play an important role in this. I also want my patients to become active participants in their wellbeing. Everyone will have their own “homework” to do- usually in the form of meditation, adequate hydration, dietary changes, or exercise. These are small changes and goals that one can aim to achieve on a daily basis. What you eat and drink, how you deal with stress, making sure to incorporate movement, taking time for yourself; these are all pieces of the wellness puzzle I encourage each person to work on.

   Having success with my Infertility patients is especially rewarding. I am very happy and honored to be a part of my patient’s journeys to growing their families. Seeing them achieve this goal is always heartwarming!
